Tips for safe travel for you and your family:

Lube, Oil and Filter Change: Change your oil regularly (recommended every 3,000 miles or refer to owner's manual).

Fluids: Have all fluids checks regularly including brake, power steering, transmission, windshield washer solution and antifreeze. These fluids play a large role in the safety and performance of your vehicle.

Tires:
-
Inflation: Check tires regularly (recommended once a month). Under-inflated tires can result in a loss of efficiency. Follow the recommended PSI found on the driver's side door post for maximum traction.
- Tread: Quality tire tread sheds the snow, ice and road grime more quickly, providing better traction for improved safety.

Tune-Up: Keep your engine tuned ... a fouled spark plug or plugged/restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency by as much as 30 percent.

Battery: Check battery cables and posts for corrosion and clean them as needed.

Lights: Inspect all lights including headlights, turn signals, brake and tail lights.

Windshield Wiper Blades: Check for cracks, tears and windshield contact. Replace them approximately once a year or sooner if streaking begins.

Belts and Hoses: Worn belts and hoses will affect the engine performance. Look for cracks and missing sections or segments. Cracked, frayed or worn out rubber will not stand up to temperature extremes.

Air Filtration: Have the air filtration system checked frequently. The air filter should be checked approximately every other oil change for clogging or damage. This system ensures that the vehicle is performing at it's peak condition.

You should always consult the vehicle owner's manual for individual service shcedules as manufacturer maintenance requirements vary.

Following these simple and inexpensive preventiive tips, will help extend the life and ensure safer operation of your vehicle.
