Education

The Avon/Albany school district is one of Minnesota's celebrated centers of public primary and secondary education.

Avon Elementary educates Avon's Kindergarten through sixth graders. The junior and senior high schools are located in Albany. Active Parent Teacher Associations ensure quality and are an avenue for involvement by all parents. Our school district sponsors educational opportunities for all ages and abilities; pre-school, community education, summer recreation and special education programs are available to district residents.

Avon is fortunate to be located within a few miles of two nationally- ranked liberal arts colleges. Saint John's University and the College of Saint Benedict provide many cultural and educational opportunities which are open to Avon residents, from national touring music and theatre performances to art exhibits and stimulating speakers. St. Cloud State University educates 16,000 students and offers a great range of undergraduate and graduate programs.
